"Wild & Woolly"

A new issue of Wild & Woolly, (the Maryland Sheep and Goat newsletter) has been posted to the web at http://www.sheepandgoat.com/news/Index.html. Topics in the Summer 2007 issue include biosecurity, Maryland Wool Pool, meat goat test, Nigerian Dwarf goats, sheep measles, sheep & wool skillathon, tapeworms, toxoplasmosis, and UMES update.

goats at Western Maryland Research & Education CenterWild & Woolly is a quarterly newsletter published by Maryland Cooperative Extension. It is written and edited by Susan Schoenian, Sheep & Goat Specialist at the Western Maryland Research & Education Center in Keedysville.

Regular contributors include Dr. Dahlia Jackson, the new small ruminant specialist at Delaware State University, and Dr. Niki Whitley, Animal Scientist at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

The newsletter is available for FREE via the internet. It may be viewed online or printed as a PDF document. Send an e-mail to sschoen@umd.edu or cmason@umd.edu if you would like to receive an e-mail message when a new issue of the newsletter has been posted to the web.

Mailed copies of the newsletter are available for a cost-recovery fee of $10 per year.
