Head of decapitated sheep returned

Investigators are baffled by the return of a sheep's head to the Frederick county farm where it was decaptiated several weeks ago. The 3-year old Dorset ewe was killed after being removed from her pen in the barn.

"It is very intriguing that not many times in my public service over 31 years I had something returned to the scene of the crimes,” says Harold Domer of Frederick County Animal Control.

A reward is being offered for any information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) guilty of this crime of animal cruelty. Anyone with information about the sheep mutilation should call officers at Animal Control at (301) 694-1544.
