Sale bucks chosen

Eleven bucks have qualified for the Western Maryland Goat Field Day & Sale to be held Saturday, October 2 at the Washington County Agricultural Education near Boonsboro, Maryland.

In order to be eligible for the sale, the bucks had to meet the 2010 Gold, Silver, or Bronze standards of performance for growth, parasite resistance, and resilience and minimum standards for reproductive and structural soundness.

The sale will also include 30 does (Kiko, Boer, and crossbred).  All goats will be sold via silent auction.  The bidding period will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
