LEAD fellows sought

The LEAD Maryland Foundation is seeking applications for its next class of LEAD Fellows. The LEAD Maryland Foundation, Inc. (also known as LEAD) is a partnership 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to identifying and developing leadership for Maryland’s agriculture, natural resources, and rural community sectors. There are many benefits to participation.

Fellows are selected through an application and interview process from a pool of diverse applicants from all regions of the state. The new class will be selected in November 2010 and will begin meeting in February 2011. During 2011 and 2012, Fellows will complete a series of multi-day seminars held at various locations throughout Maryland and Washington DC.

Additionally, the LEAD Maryland Foundation provides participants with a travel study tour as part of the program curriculum. The study tours are a signature part of LEAD’s program curriculum, whether the travel is
international, domestic, or a combination of destinations.

Application forms are due October 1, 2010, and are available on the LEAD Maryland Foundation website at www.leadmaryland.org or by contacting leadmd@umd.edu or calling Susan Harrision at (410) 827-8056. Please see application materials for complete program details.
