New items posted to ASI web site

Several new items have been posted to the American Sheep Industry Association (ASI) web site at http://www.sheepusa.org/ and some are asking for input and comment from producers.

Livestock Protection Dogs
ASI is seeking input from producers regarding a certification program for livestock protection and herding dogs.  A draft document is available for review.

Non-traditional Lamb Report
This report defines and quantifies the non-traditional lamb markets. It is predicted that as many as 1.2 million head of slaughter lambs are marketed through nontraditional channels and, therefore, not counted in federally inspected slaughter numbers

2010 ASI Meeting Presentations
This link provides links to presentations given at the 2010 ASI Annual Convention in Nashville, Tennessee.  A range of topics were presented and can now be used as resource materials.

Submissions to the 2010 U.S. Sheep Research & Outreach Program are now online.   Learn what research is being done to benefit the sheep industry.


NAHMS 2011 Sheep Health Survey
The National Health Monitoring System is asking for producers insight into important issues facing the U.S. sheep industry.  Click on the link to answer the survey.
