The Western Maryland Pasture-Based Meat Goat Performance Test was initiated at the University of Maryland's Western Maryland Research & Education Center in 2006. Each year, a new group of male goats is evaluated for growth performance (on pasture), parasite resistance and resilience, and carcass merit.The test organizers are surveying previous consigners to the test , as well as others who are interested in the performance testing of meat goats.
