Goat prices rally

Compared to last Monday's sale at New Holland (PA), prices for kid goats were $5 to $15 higher, $20 higher in some instances. Nanny goats sold $5-$10 higher. Bucks prices were firm. The demand for goats, in general, is good; very good for kid goats.

Monday's receipts at New Holland included 1,765 sheep and lambs and 1,871 goats. All goats are sold by the head, with weights estimated. Sheep and lambs are sold by the hundred weight, on actual weights. Sheep and lamb prices were lower compared to last Monday's sale.
