Woolly Bikinis!

Bikinis featuring Australian Merino wool could be the next big thing on beaches. Australian Wool Innovation has been working on a project with Australian fashion designer Josephine Nathan who has woven lycra with wool to come up with a unique fabric for swimwear. And, both international and national buyers have shown a lot of interest in these ‘woolly bikinis’.

Wool was the initial swimsuit material and was popular in the 19th century. Wool was replaced by cotton in the 20th century.
