Excused School Absences for 4-H

Senate Bill 621 has been introduced into the Maryland Senate by Senator Richard Colburn (R, District 37). This bill would allow for a student to miss school and not be deemed absent or be assessed a penalty for the absence while attending an agriculture event or activity sanctioned, sponsored, or conducted by the 4-H Program, Future Farmers of America, or the Maryland Farm Bureau.

The hearing for the bill was held today, March 9.
