An Integrated Parasite Management (IPM) workshop will be held on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 9:30am- 1:30pm at the Flinn Family Farm, located at 17807 Breakneck Road Ne, Flintstone, Maryland, 21530.
The workshop will consist of two hours of lecture/discussion and two hours of hands-on activity. The hands-on activity will include FAMACHA card training and an introduction to fecal egg counting. The instructor will be Susan Schoenian, University of Maryland Extension Sheep & Goat Specialist.
Participants in the workshop will receive a FAMACHA card and reference manual. The registration fee is $40 per person, family, or farm. Checks payable to University of Maryland. To register, call (301) 724-3320 or send an e-mail to jparrish@umd.edu. The registration deadline is August 30.
