Central PA Lambing Clinic

Owens Farm in Sunbury, Pennsylvania, will be hosting a Lambing Clinic on Saturday, March 9 from  9 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The morning session will cover decision-making at lambing and top-ten tips for saving lambs. There will be a demonstration of a lamb necropsy.

The barn session will include ear tagging, tube feeding, tail docking, nursing difficulties, and other common problems. You will learn how to recognize the behavior of healthy newborns that require no intervention.

Instructors will include small ruminant veterinarian Dr. Jackie Rapp and a panel  of shepherds. There will be a barnfull of lambs to use in demonstrations.
